Love Island star Lola Deal tells the Mirror that two conversations she had with partner Sean Fitzgerald weren't aired by ITV to viewers, in the lead-up to their abrupt villa exit20:00, 22 Jul 2026Updated 20:00, 22 Jul 2026Love Island star Lola Deal has cleared up some confusion about her final episodes on the ITV2 series, with some missing scenes filling in the gaps.Speaking to The Mirror ahead of the final, Lola confirmed new details about the lead-up to her and partner Sean Fitzgerald's abrupt exit from the show earlier this month. Facing elimination from the show, the pair volunteered to quit the villa after becoming an "exclusive" couple. But some viewers were a little confused about their sudden decision to leave, as well as the lack of drama between the pairing following Movie Night. As Sean's Casa Amor antics were exposed with clips played out to the villa, many fans were surprised with how calm Lola was about the whole thing, and her refusal to let it come between her and Sean, known as Fitzy to his close pals.Lola has now revealed that ITV didn't air certain conversations in the villa that actually explain her reaction. Not only that, but other unaired conversations also reveal Lola and Sean had already discussed leaving the villa, before their decision was shown.Lola confessed: "I think that for a while, like probably like a week or so, we'd been in the head space where it was just, we were ready to go. I think we achieved what we wanted to achieve from it."Once you are so locked off, and in love, then there's only so many challenges you sort of want to do." Sean agreed: "I didn't want to do any challenges."Lola went on: "We'd speak about it anyway, and we were like, when the right time comes, we'll just [leave]. And I think it just felt like the right time."As for the lack of Movie Night drama, Lola confirmed the pair had discussed everything already. Lola told us: "I massively get it, having watched it back, I think the big conversation that we had about it was missing."So, for me, it's like before it even came up, I knew it was coming up, I knew it was on the screen, and I think because we'd already had that talk, we were really good at communication."I think for me, just because it's in front of a group of people, and it looks bad, like if I've already sorted that, I'm not going to have it out again for the sake of it. There's no need, but I understand what people say."Lola and Sean are now looking to the future, with Lola confirming plans to move to Dublin. Lola said: "I don't think there's any pressure on it," as Sean joked: "What pressure?"Lola went on: "We have our plans about going travelling now and stuff, and then moving to Dublin, so we're just going to keep doing what we've been doing. I think we'll got to Japan first."Then I'm moving to Dublin. I told everyone else in the villa I was moving, prior to telling Sean, I thought I'd scare him to death!" Sean added: "We can't wait to get together and start our future."Article continues below* Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
