Last season, he made 37 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side and helped City win the FA Cup and Carabao Cup trophies. The extension for Doku, who scored eight goals and provided 14 assists in 47 appearances for City last term, is expected to arrive later. The winger, who played for Belgium at the World Cup, had instructed his advisors to take care of the new contract while away with his country, as he had no intention of looking for another club.Khusanov’s combination of pace and aggressive defending has endeared him to City supporters and the club regard him as an important part of their plans under new manager Enzo Maresca.Earlier on Wednesday, Phil Foden signed a new four-year contract at City that will keep him at the club until 2030, with an option to extend by a further 12 months.Jul 22, 2026Connections: Sports EditionSpot the pattern.
