Go Digit Life Insurance, a fully digital insurance company, has entered the retirement solutions segment with the launch of Digit Life Pension Plan.The offering comes in two variants. Digit Sukoon provides a fully guaranteed lifelong annuity, while Digit Boss combines guaranteed annuity with a variable annuity linked to the performance of the Nifty 50 Index.Customers can choose between immediate and deferred annuity options, with deferment of up to 15 years, multiple premium payment modes and payout frequencies ranging from monthly to annually.Sabyasachi Sarkar, MD & CEO, Digit Life Insurance said retirement planning needs are changing rapidly and customers today are looking not just for lifelong income, but for solutions that reflect their own financial priorities including certainty in income and a measured participation in market-linked upside for others.“With Digit Life Pension Plan, we are bringing both these needs together in one product architecture, while giving customers the flexibility to tailor payouts and retirement income structures in a way that makes the most sense to their individual needs,” he said.For decades, retirement planning in India largely revolved around building a corpus.
