The U.S. Department of Energy has selected 278 projects for award negotiations under its Genesis Mission to develop AI-enabled scientific workflows aimed at accelerating research in energy, discovery science and national security.
The selected portfolio includes projects led by national laboratories, universities, companies and nonprofit organizations, with research spanning areas such as nuclear energy, critical minerals, intelligent chip design and commercial fusion energy.
Awardees will receive access to the Genesis Mission Platform, which combines AI tools, advanced software and high-performance computing resources to support the development and testing of new AI-driven research methods.
