Northumbria Police, acting on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police, has commenced the investigation, with NHFT confirming its full cooperation. Emma Webber, mother of victim Barnaby, welcomed the investigation as an "unprecedented move" that will send "much-needed shockwaves across our public services" and signifies "the beginning of the reckoning" for accountability.
