Mercedes-Benz has launched the five-seat Liujin version of the electric GLC in China at a starting price of 338,000 yuan (approximately €43,780). Customers can also pre-order two additional variants: the five-seat Huiyin from 299,900 yuan (around €38,850) and the six-seat Xingbo from 388,800 yuan (approximately €50,300), according to CnEVPost, citing Mercedes-Benz.
For the Chinese market, Mercedes-Benz has stretched the electric GLC’s wheelbase to 3.03 m, making it 5.5 cm longer than the standard-wheelbase version. The company has also revised the rear seating. In the six-seat configuration, the electric GLC gains a third row of seats for the first time in China.
Technically, the model is the first Mercedes-Benz vehicle to be based on the new Mercedes-Benz Electric Architecture (MB.EA). It combines an 800-volt system with an 85.5 kWh NMC battery supplied by CATL, offering a CLTC range of up to 703 kilometres. Mercedes says charging from 10 to 80 per cent takes 22 minutes, but has not disclosed the peak DC charging power. The all-wheel-drive variant features two electric motors with a combined output of 310 kW, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in 4.9 seconds.
