Redtech, the Heirs Holdings-backed technology company, has been named in the payments category of the World’s Top Fintech Companies 2026 ranking by CNBC and Statista. The company is among the only 11 African companies recognised in this year’s edition.
Developed by CNBC and Statista, the annual ranking identifies 500 leading fintech companies from a pool of more than 3,500 businesses worldwide. Serving as a data-driven benchmark, the ranking highlights companies shaping the future of financial services through technology, innovation and scalable digital solutions.
Redtech’s inclusion reflects its evolution from a payments processor into a broader financial infrastructure provider, delivering the technology that enables businesses to collect, process, reconcile, disburse and manage money across African markets at scale. Through its flagship platform, RedPay, the company provides payment acceptance, digital banking and merchant infrastructure, including smart POS terminals, payment gateway services, virtual account fund transfers, payment cards and NRS-compliant e-invoicing solutions.
Redtech’s growing scale is reflected in the reach of its infrastructure. Since inception, the company has processed approximately ₦45.84 trillion (US$33.21 billion) in transaction value through the RedPay platform. The company’s merchant network has also expanded with the deployment of more than 55,000 RedPay POS terminals, supporting businesses operating across hospitality, energy, banking, fintech, retail, utilities and enterprise services.
