The former glamour model shocked friends, family and fans when she tied the knot with Andrews earlier this year, just days after they first met in person.But since their wedding, the marriage has been surrounded by controversy. Price and Bowers dated one another between 1998 and 2000, with Dane also recently appearing in Katie's bombshell Sky documentary, Nowhere To Hide.Now, the Out Of Your Mind hitmaker has revealed he texted his former girlfriend to question whether the drama surrounding British-born Andrews was real. "I mean, obviously, being in Dubai, I know people who know him, it's all just very bizarre," he said in a new interview.Speaking to Contact Music, Dane went on to add: "I don't think anything that has been said is true. I don’t get it. He must know that people know he’s talking rubbish, so I don't know, it's just bizarre."I'm hooked on it as well. My missus tells me new updates and it's like madness. I just don’t know when it's going to stop. But it is funny."Dane went on to reveal that after a conversation with his girlfriend, he texted Katie to ask if it was a "wind-up". He explained: "I literally messaged her and said, 'Look, is this some sort of wind-up or what?'"I hadn't spoke to her in years, I was just like, 'What is going on?' She didn't really say much." Despite splititng with Katie, he says that the pair are friendly with one another.The update comes after Lee was reportedly released from Al-Awir prison in Dubai for the second time in just a matter of weeks. It was reported that Lee had been arrested earlier this month and taken to Lahab police station.Reports claim that he was trying to raise £120,000 to pay off a fine, but now, after a brief period in Dubai’s Al Awir prison, he is free. Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "Lee Andrews has today been released from Al Awir prison. He was set free this afternoon following a short stint behind bars."Despite his travel ban out of Dubai, it's claimed that Lee is hoping to fly to the UK to be with Katie - although it's claimed the former glamour model is "at the end of her tether" with Lee's legal issues.The source added: "Whether poor Katie will be there to greet him on the other side remains to be seen. Right now, she is furious with it all and fed up with all the drama and white noise her husband is bringing into her life."Article continues belowKatie also released a statement earlier in the week, hitting out at claims that Lee was allegedly attempting to sell an intimate video of the pair, leaving her "upset". She said on Instagram: "This story is completely untrue.
