Sony Pictures has released the third trailer for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” swiftly shifting Tom Holland‘s epic of a summer from the ancient shores of Ithaca to the glass skyscrapers of New York.

The Sony and Marvel film — which sees the British star having ditched Telemachus’ swords and sandals from “The Odyssey” to Spidey/Peter Parker’s red and blue onesie — will premiere in theaters on July 31.

Landing some five years after “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” the latest instalment in the hit franchise, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, sees the superhero living alone and “crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name,” according to the film’s official logline. After erasing himself from the lives and memories of those around him, he’s now devoted himself entirely to protecting his city as a full-time Spider-Man. “But as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.”

Holland stars alongside Zendaya (the two recently confirmed their marriage), plus fellow returnees Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal and Michael Mando. New additions include Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colon-Zayas and Marvin Jones II.
