July 21 (UPI) -- Jessica Chastain plays a disturbing dual role in Tuesday's trailer for Blumhouse's upcoming supernatural horror movie, Other Mommy.
In theaters Oct. 9, the film was directed by Rob Savage and explores "the darkening world of a young girl, Bela, who forms a relationship with a sinister entity in her home who looks uncannily like her own mother," a synopsis said.
The 2-minute preview for the film shows Chastain as a loving parent, then as something terrifying that can twist herself into grotesque positions.
Her confused daughter asks her in another scene where she appears normal: "Is it really you? Are you tricking me?"
