Here’s everything we know about their romance.Kris Marshall met his wife Hannah Dodkin back in 2010 - despite growing up just two streets apart in Wells, Somerset. A year after dating, the actor popped the question.‌Then in February 2012, Kris and Hannah got married in their hometown of Wells. The happy couple share two children, Thomas and Elsie, who live with them in their lavish home in Bath.Like her husband, Hannah is no stranger to appearing on TV screens. Back in 2011, the businesswoman found herself catapulted into fame as she won the Middle Eastern version of The Apprentice.‌She took part in Hydra Executive, a spin-off set in Abu Dhabi, based on The Apprentice format filmed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in which the ‘Lord Sugar’ role was taken by Sulaiman Al Fahim. The billionaire developer is best known in the UK for his role in the takeover of Manchester City FC and his short-lived ownership of Portsmouth FC.Although she was "fired" in the ninth week by Al-Fahim, Hannah impressed producers and they invited her back as a wild card and she emerged as a joint winner, scooping half of the $1,000,000 prize.Hannah said at the time: "I feel truly proud of myself. Working as a plumber helped me enormously to grasp the technical aspects of the real estate market in the United Arab Emirates. It also makes me a little unique. Being a female on a building site in the Middle East is definitely rarer than back home.‌"When you learn a trade you also learn that sometimes you have to drill through a wall instead of going around it - even if it takes four hours. It trained me not to give up at the first hurdle."Following Kris’ surprise exit from Death in Paradise, the actor told The Mirror that the decision came down to putting his family first. In a 2017 interview, the actor revealed that his wife, Hannah Dodkin, had been suffering from “sleepless nights” while he’d been filming in Guadeloupe.‌“It was very hard as my daughter was only three months old when I left,” he admitted. “In some ways, it was easier for me than my wife, as I didn’t have the sleepless nights. I got to leave all of that behind. But it was tough being away from her every day and missing her.”Every six weeks, Kris would make the 16-hour trip back to Britain to be with his wife and eventually decided that enough was enough. Appearing on Good Morning Britain after his exit, the actor said that managing his family life and career had become a “juggling mission”.“Skyping isn’t the same and just leaves me bereft, really. Then I just had to go and drown my sorrows in the bar. It’s time to move on and give someone else a chance to enjoy some sun. I’ve lived half my life in the Caribbean for the past four years.
