DUBAI: Jeddah is adding another headline act to its summer line-up, with the Michael Jackson tribute show “This Is Michael” confirmed for a single performance at Abadi Al-Johar Arena on Aug. 21.
The evening is being brought to the Kingdom by Live Nation Middle East together with Benchmark, and forms part of a wider regional run that also takes in the UAE and Kuwait.
At the center of the production is British performer Lenny Jay, whose vocal delivery, movement and choreography have drawn international attention for their close likeness to the late superstar.
The show sets out to recreate the atmosphere of Jackson’s celebrated concerts, leaning on the theatricality and precision that defined his live work.
Audiences can expect a fast-paced night built around more than 20 of Jackson’s best-known songs. Jay is backed by an international ensemble of dancers, singers and live musicians, with elaborate costumes, projected visuals and high-energy staging rounding out the spectacle.
