Ukrainian defense forces are monitoring the situation along the northern border and in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector.
Recently, there has been a slight decrease in the activity of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the area, though the enemy continues to carry out intense artillery and air strikes. This was stated on television by National Guard (NG) spokesperson Ruslan Muzychuk, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“The defense forces are monitoring the situation unfolding along the northern border and in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna direction in particular. We see that the enemy periodically carries out demonstration operations here, particularly in the Sumy region,” Muzychuk noted.
He reported that Russian troops also periodically attempt to infiltrate sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
“Recently, the National Guard units carrying out missions in these areas, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces—including border guards—have recorded slightly less activity by sabotage and reconnaissance groups, but there has been a significant number of attacks, including artillery and air strikes. The Yunakivka community and the Shostka area are suffering greatly,” Muzychuk concluded.
