In a first, the Hyderabad Traffic Police have deployed drones to monitor traffic movement and parking arrangements during the Bonalu festivities at Golconda Fort, with officials aiming to ensure smoother vehicular movement and quicker response to congestion.The Bonalu celebrations at Golconda Fort began on July 16 and will continue until August 13. Police said elaborate traffic arrangements have been put in place, with traffic regulation, diversions and parking management being monitored in real time by senior traffic officials.According to the police, drones are being used to provide aerial surveillance of major traffic diversion points, approach roads, parking areas and other congestion-prone locations around the fort. The live aerial feed enables traffic personnel to identify bottlenecks instantly, enforce diversion plans and regulate traffic more efficiently.
