Located in North Alkhobar, Sellfish brings a refreshing take on the classic British fish and chips experience.
Walking in immediately reminded me of Brighton, from the navy paneled walls and vintage maritime decor to the warm neon signs and nostalgic details scattered throughout the space.
Rather than feeling like a themed restaurant, it captures the relaxed charm of a traditional British seaside fish shop, creating an atmosphere that is cozy and full of character.
The restaurant is relatively small, however, and its popularity means it fills up quickly. During my visit, we waited nearly an hour for a table, making reservations highly recommended, especially on weekends and during peak dinner hours.
I started with the restaurant’s signature fish and chips, and it easily justified its reputation. The batter was crisp, light, and beautifully golden without feeling greasy, while the fish inside remained flaky, moist, and fresh.
