Andrea Zapata, a veteran of the rapidly changing fields of audience research and measurement, has joined VideoAmp, one of a bevy of upstart measurement-technology firms hoping to make inroads with media companies that have typcially relied on Nielsen to count viewers and demonstrate advertising effectiveness.
Zapata will lead VideoAmp’s outreach to media agencies and advertisers, and will report to Bryan Gorski., the company’s chief revenue officer.
“Andrea brings a powerful combination of market credibility, strategic perspective, and deep experience across data, measurement, and media,” said Goski, in a prepared statement. “She understands the pressures agencies are under, the expectations advertisers have around proof of performance, and the opportunity in front of us as the industry moves toward a more intelligent and connected future.”
Zapata joins VideoAmp as the company works to create deeper relationships with agencies and advertisers and expand adoption of its platform across buy-side entities. VideoAmp in March added first party data from SiriusXM Media and National CineMedia into its cross-platform planning technology. VideoAmp has worked with companies including AMC Networks, Disney, Fox, Paramount and Snap.
