The latest images reveal several notable features, including the very small, so-called winglet door handles on the front and rear doors. The elongated roofline and rear window, split by a spoiler, are reminiscent of the first-generation Audi A2. There also appears to be no rear windscreen wiper. Footage on YouTube shows narrow daytime running lights at the front, with the main headlights positioned below them.
Audi confirmed the A2 e-tron as its new entry-level electric model back in March and showcased a camouflaged prototype for the first time in May. Since then, the vehicle has undergone various testing phases. In Lapland, Audi tested the battery, thermal management, and driving dynamics in low temperatures. Wind tunnel tests focused on aerodynamics, while further trials on public roads aimed to evaluate the chassis and driver assistance systems under everyday conditions.
Audi has since revealed some key specifications: four power outputs are planned, with 125, 140, 170, and 240 kW. The lowest stated WLTP consumption is 13.0 kWh per 100 kilometres, with a maximum range of 649 kilometres. This would position the A2 e-tron among the most efficient electric vehicles in its class. However, Audi has not yet officially confirmed details regarding battery sizes and DC charging capacities.
