In a statement issued on Monday by the EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, the anti-graft agency claimed the reports are misleading and stated that Nandap has no connection whatsoever with its ongoing investigations.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied reports suggesting that the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, is under investigation over an alleged visa racketeering scheme involving immigration officers.
In a statement issued on Monday by the EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, the anti-graft agency claimed the reports are misleading and stated that Nandap has no connection whatsoever with its ongoing investigations.
"The Commission wishes to state unequivocally that it has no case with the Immigration CG," Oyewale stated.
According to the EFCC, there are already pending cases against some Nigeria Immigration Service officers before the Federal High Court over alleged visa fraud.
