Synopsis​​Hi-tech segment led with 35 units while US-based multinationals accounted for 57% of all entries and expansions. Gaurav Vasu, the cofounder of UnearthIQ, a GCC research and intelligence-led advisory firm by UnearthInsight, pointed out that India added 183 total GCC units in the first half of calendar year 2026, with 73 greenfield (new entrants) and 110 brownfield (expansion of existing centres).The total number of GCC units rose sharply to 120 in the April–June quarter from 63 in the January–March quarter, according to data from UnearthIQ by UnearthInsight.
