Access Holdings Plc has reduced its stake in its Ghanaian subsidiary after selling 7.44 percent of its shareholding, according to a regulatory filing on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE).

Specifically, its parent company, Access Bank Plc, sold 12,085,318 ordinary shares on July 15, 2026, representing 7.44 percent of Access Bank (Ghana) Plc’s issued share capital. The transaction was executed through the Ghana Stock Exchange after receiving all the necessary regulatory approvals, including a no-objection from the Bank of Ghana.

Following the transaction, Access Holdings’ stake in the subsidiary fell from 93.40 percent to 85.96 percent, according to the disclosure signed by Helen De Cardi Nelson, company secretary of Access Bank (Ghana) Plc.

The filing stated that the share sale reflects sustained investor interest in Access Bank (Ghana) Plc and growing confidence in the bank’s long-term growth prospects. Further, the offering attracted strong demand from a broad range of investors, including pension funds, institutional investors, and high-net-worth individuals.
