Rangers FC is deep into its summer shopping spree, and the receipt is getting longer. The Scottish Premiership club is reportedly close to finalizing a deal worth approximately £4.7 million, plus add-ons, for Serbian midfielder Vanja Dragojevic from Partizan Belgrade, while simultaneously managing the likely departure of Brazilian striker Danilo and navigating transfer discussions around Czech winger Vaclav Cerny.
Rangers have already signed five players this summer transfer window, and the Dragojevic deal would represent perhaps the most significant addition yet.
The Dragojevic deal takes shape
Vanja Dragojevic is only 20 years old and already captains Partizan Belgrade. Rangers has reportedly agreed terms with Partizan for a transfer fee in the region of £4.7 million, with additional payments potentially pushing the total higher depending on performance clauses and milestones.
Dragojevic is expected to arrive in Glasgow in the near term to undergo medical examinations and put pen to paper.
