Cebu Pacific is set to become Southeast Asia's first low-cost carrier to introduce Starlink in-flight connectivity, a move that could prompt rival budget airlines to follow suit, Philstar news site reported.
The rollout is part of the carrier's broader strategy to enhance the passenger experience, complementing its fleet expansion with new aircraft to build one of the largest and youngest fleets in Southeast Asia.

Starlink, based on a constellation of more than 10,000 low-orbit satellites, is capable of delivering high-speed, low-latency internet to aircraft with speeds of up to 1 Gbps per antenna, enabling a more stable and responsive connection at cruising altitude.
Once operational, passengers across all cabin classes are expected to benefit from smoother connectivity for data-heavy activities such as video streaming, gaming, social media use, and transferring large files, Channel News Asia reported.
