MANILA, Philippines – Gokongwei-led Cebu Pacific has tapped Elon Musk-owned Starlink to provide satellite internet across its fleet, becoming the first low-cost carrier in Southeast Asia to do so.
The company will begin rolling out the inflight connectivity system in 2027, deploying it across more than 1,000 aircraft operated by airlines under Arizona-based private equity firm Indigo Partners LLC, an investor in Cebu Pacific, Frontier Airlines, Wizz Air, Volaris, and JetSMART.

In a statement on Tuesday, Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao said the partnership with Starlink marks “another important step” in improving the travel experience for passengers of the Philippines’ biggest airline.
