The report states that Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Andy Burnham has officially become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

King Charles III tasked 56-year-old Burnham with forming a government, and he accepted.

The Buckingham Palace's press office stated that His Majesty received the Honorable Member of Parliament Andrew Burnham in audience and asked him to form a new government. Burnham accepted the King’s offer.
