Soldiers of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment conducted a mopping-up operation to eliminate infiltrated groups of Russian troops in the areas of Ternuvate, Kosivtseve, Rizdvianka, Verkhnia Tersa, and Vozdvyzhivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in the capture of 64 occupiers.
According to Ukrinform, the 225th Separate Assault Regiment reported this on Telegram and released a video documenting the operation.
“Soldiers of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment conducted a mopping-up operation to eliminate infiltrated enemy groups in the areas of Ternuvate, Kosivtseve, Rizdvianka, Verkhnia Tersa, and Vozdvyzhivka. The operation resulted in 64 Russian prisoners of war,” the statement reads.
As the soldiers noted, the Russian occupiers were supposed to infiltrate the rear of Ukrainian positions unnoticed, avoid engaging in combat, search for UAV crews, gather intelligence, and raise Russian flags for yet another round of propaganda videos about “captured” villages—but instead found themselves taken prisoner.
“The result of the operation is 64 Russian prisoners of war. These 64 occupiers have been added to Ukraine’s prisoner exchange pool,” the regiment added.
