In 2001, a small, satirical sketch-comedy show called "Rainbow Indignation" opened at the old Kwasuka Theatre in Durban. It was a humble, independent production born in a young, post-apartheid South Africa.
Now, in 2026, that single spark has evolved into a massive bonfire of cultural influence.
The Singh Siblings production company is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Led by artistic director Ashwin Singh and his sister, producer Shantal Singh, the company’s milestone is being marked not just locally, but globally.
With numerous plays, comedy shows, films, novels and radio dramas under his belt, the Singh siblings have spent a quarter of a century defying the easy route.
