July 19 (UPI) -- Second lady Usha Vance gave birth Sunday to her fourth child, JD Vance announced, making him the first sitting vice president in more than 150 years to welcome the birth of a child.
"We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning," JD said in a statement.
"Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother."
The Vances have three other children: two sons, Ewan and Vivek, ages 9 and 6, respectively; and a 4-year-old daughter, Mirabel.
