One person has been charged with flying over an advertised event under Canadian Aviation Regulations, according to an X post by police.
Toronto caught the 29th drone at the FIFA Fan Fest on Sunday afternoon, during the final day of the World Cup.
Police responded to reports of an unauthorized drone detected and intercepted by officers at 2:20 p.m., near the area of Gzowski Boulevard and Fort York Boulevard, before the match between Argentina and Spain.
