A man has been charged with manslaughter after boxer Hannah Rapp was struck by a car and killed while riding her bicycle in Texas.The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Rapp, 26, died in the hospital after the collision, which took place just before 10 a.m. Saturday in Brazos County.The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that 31-year-old Charles Medina was arrested and charged with manslaughter for his role in the incident. According to the statement, a vehicle driven by Medina passed two cyclists before stopping, reversing and striking Rapp. She received medical attention at the scene before being taken to the hospital, where she died.”The loss of Hannah Rapp leaves us heartbroken,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said in a statement released on the organization’s website. “She was an exceptional boxer, but above all, an invaluable member of our boxing family. We join in the grief that overwhelms her loved ones, her team, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and supporting her throughout her brilliant career.”
