Commuters and motorists were stranded for hours on Sunday following a severe traffic gridlock caused by a broken-down truck at the SIFAX Terminal Bus Stop along Ago Road in Lagos.

The truck reportedly developed a fault after hitting deep potholes at the bus stop, obstructing traffic and leaving hundreds of vehicles trapped in a long queue.

As of 2:15 p.m., when this report was filed, the congestion showed no signs of easing, with frustrated commuters and motorists lamenting the prolonged delay.

The traffic snarl disrupted movement along the busy corridor, forcing many passengers to abandon commercial vehicles and continue their journeys on foot, while others remained stuck in the standstill traffic.

The latest incident has renewed concerns over the poor condition of the road, particularly around the SIFAX Terminal Bus Stop, where motorists have repeatedly complained about deteriorating infrastructure.
