Former One Direction star Niall Horan left fans devastated after he was forced to cancel his Pennsylvania show just hours until it was due to start over severe weather warnings11:22, 19 Jul 2026Updated 11:25, 19 Jul 2026Former One Direction star Niall Horan has been forced to cancel his show in Pennsylvania after his team including a meteorologist issued him a severe weather warning. The 32 year old star was due to perform with singer and song writer Thomas Rhett at the Hersheypark Stadium.‌However, after careful consideration throughout the day, they decided to pull the plug on their gig.‌A statement was released by Niall and Thomas which read: "Hey everyone, it’s TR [Thomas Rett] and I here from Hersheypark Stadium.‌"We’ve been sat with our teams and the promoters and meteorologist all morning since 9am and if feels like there’s a lot of severe weather in the area and some bad weather conditions and thunderstorms threatening the show."They added: "So, we’ve been kind of forced into a corner and we will have to reschedule a show to tomorrow night. Obviously something we didn’t want to do but we want to stay in town and do the show for you guys, so if you have a ticket, you can come tomorrow and if you can’t make the show tomorrow night, you will get a full refund for your ticket."‌The statement concluded saying: "We’re obviously sad that we have to do this, but this is what we have to do."Addressing the need to put the safety of their fans first, Thomas added: "We want to give you all the show that we have prepared and we just couldn’t guarantee that for tonight. ""So it’s a miracle that the venue’s available tomorrow, that both me and Niall are here tomorrow, so we will see you guys tomorrow night to rock," he said.‌This comes after Niall's pal and fellow One Direction bandmate Harry Styles made history while performing a 12-show residency at Wembley Stadium.And during his final gig he paid tribute to former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne who tragically died while in Argentina, in October 2024. During his final show, Harry reportedly looked visibly emotional as he reflected on his career journey, from being part of a globally renowned pop group to achieving solo success.And he took time out to thank everyone who helped him reach particular milestones in his life, namely Liam and the rest of the One Direction group. He thanked all four members of the group before singing Carla's song. In his tribute he said: "I wanna thank Niall, Zayn, Louis and my dear friend Liam.‌"Nights like these couldn’t happen without every friendship, I wouldn’t be up here without my friends and family, some of who are here tonight." Harry then put up a throwback picture of the boys on the big screen from the beginning of their career.Liam was only 31 when he tragically lost his life after falling from the third floor balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires.One Direction became a boyband while on the X Factor in 2010 following individual auditions.
