Russian forces launched a series of attacks involving guided aerial bombs and strike drones against the cities of Sumy and Izyum, as well as the Kherson region, on Sunday morning, July 19. Guided bombs target Bilozerka and Sumy In the southern Kherson region, local authorities reported that Russian tactical aircraft launched guided aerial bombs at the Bilozerka community on Sunday morning. Kherson Regional Military Administration Head Oleksandr Prokudin stated that the munitions struck residential areas, killing a 75-year-old woman whose body was recovered from the rubble of her home. Four other civilians sustained injuries in the attack. Two women, aged 53 and 54, were hospitalized in a moderate condition with shrapnel wounds, closed craniocerebral trauma, blast injuries, and concussion. Medical personnel treated a 61-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man at the scene. The strike damaged over 20 residential buildings – some of which were completely destroyed – alongside outbuildings, vehicles, and local greenhouses. Emergency services are actively working at the impact site to clear the debris and mitigate the consequences of the strike. Further north, the city of Sumy was also subjected to an aerial bombardment. Local authorities reported that Russian tactical aircraft deployed seven guided aerial bombs (KABs) against civilian infrastructure in the city’s Kovpakivskyi district.
