CALASIAO, Pangasinan — The La Union provincial government is conducting regular water quality monitoring in rivers, waterfalls, and other inland waters at 20 ecotourism sites to help ensure public safety and protect the province’s natural resources.
The initiative, led by the Provincial Government–Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO), is part of the province’s environmental management program aimed at detecting potential environmental issues early and enabling authorities to take prompt corrective action.
The monitoring covers eight waterfalls across the province: Tuddingan Falls in Naguilian, Budahaw Falls in Burgos, Simminublan Falls and Anito Falls in Santol, Kinmadilyan Falls in Sudipen, Occalong Falls in Luna, Tangadan Falls in San Gabriel, and Bulalakaw Falls in Bagulin.
