The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced that its fifth International Conference will be held in Mauritius from August 3 to 5 under the theme, “Strengthening Governance in a VUCA World.”The conference is expected to serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, international collaboration, and professional development, equipping practitioners to navigate the rapidly evolving global corporate landscape.ICSI officials, who were in Kochi to attend the Kerala State Conference organised by the ICSI Kochi Chapter, told reporters that the 54th National Convention of Company Secretaries will be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from September 5 to 7.The national convention will feature sessions focused on enhancing professional excellence, leadership capabilities, and networking opportunities for company secretaries from across the country.ICSI also highlighted its ongoing capacity-building initiatives, offering specialized training programmes to enhance the skills of company secretaries and finance professionals.The Kochi event held under the theme ‘Metamorphosis: Sector-Specific Governance Architect, brought together industry leaders, legal experts, corporate governance professionals, and company secretaries to deliberate on emerging trends in corporate governance, evolving regulatory frameworks across sectors, and best governance practices.As part of ICSI’s Academic Collaboration Initiative, two MoU’s were signed with the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, and Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University).
