A former Peoples Democratic Party governorship aspirant in Gombe State, Monica Yahaya Kaltho, has withdrawn from a lawsuit challenging the party’s governorship primary and declared her support for the PDP’s governorship candidate, Prof. Isa Pantami, ahead of the 2027 election.
Kaltho announced her decision on Saturday, saying she withdrew from the legal action after consultations and in deference to an appeal by the PDP leader in Gombe State and former governor, Senator Ibrahim Dankwambo.
She was the only female aspirant in the party’s governorship race.
Kaltho said her decision was taken in the interest of party unity and progress.
