Pantami emerged as the PDP candidate through a voice affirmation during the party’s governorship primary election held on Tuesday in Gombe.
A former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has formally joined the Peoples Democratic Party and secured the party’s governorship ticket ahead of the 2027 election in Gombe State.
Pantami emerged as the PDP candidate through a voice affirmation during the party’s governorship primary election held on Tuesday in Gombe.
Chairman of the PDP Electoral Panel, Gregory Yenlong, declared Pantami the sole aspirant and subsequently announced him as the winner of the exercise.
Speaking shortly after his emergence, Pantami said his decision to contest the governorship election was driven by a desire to serve the people of Gombe State.
