Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari have some work to do at Spa.
Lewis Hamilton remains confident Ferrari can reduce the gap to Mercedes at the Belgian Grand Prix, despite admitting Friday's pace deficit at Spa-Francorchamps was larger than the team had expected.
The seven-time Formula One world champion finished Friday encouraged by the feel of his Ferrari, but acknowledged there is still work to do before qualifying.
"We've definitely got some work to do overnight," Hamilton said. "The gap is bigger than we anticipated, but I think there are positives to take from today."
Mercedes set the benchmark during practice, with championship leader Kimi Antonelli leading the way. Despite the sizeable margin, Hamilton believes Ferrari has enough performance left to unlock.
