The Citizens Democratic Alliance (CDA) has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of failing to comply with a Federal High Court judgment directing the electoral body to register the party and issue it a Certificate of Registration.
The party said the court had ordered INEC to issue its Certificate of Registration within seven days after being served with the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the judgment but alleged that the commission had failed to obey the order despite the expiration of the deadline.
In a statement issued on Friday and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Citizen Umar Abdulrazaq Abdullahi, the party expressed concerns over what it described as INEC's continued refusal to comply with the judgment delivered by the Federal High Court on June 23, 2026.
The statement, titled "INEC's Continued Failure to Comply with the Federal High Court Judgment on the Registration of the Citizens Democratic Alliance (CDA)," said the party was bringing the matter to the attention of Nigerians, members of the media, civil society organisations and other stakeholders.
