MANILA, Philippines – The Insurance Commission (IC) has approved three new gender-specific life insurance products, expanding the range of insurance plans designed to address health risks that disproportionately affect men or women.
In its latest advisory, the regulator said the newly approved products brought the total number of gender-specific insurance offerings to 18 life insurance products, alongside two nonlife insurance products and two health maintenance organization (HMO) products approved as of 2026.

“By offering benefits that are tailored to specific demographic and health profiles, insurers are better positioned to deliver comprehensive, relevant and accessible financial protection solutions,” the IC said.
