Instead, Lindell is registered to vote in Texas, the newspaper reported, where he was living previously.Lindell -- a prominent Trump donor and advisor -- had told the Star Tribune last year he would re-establish residency in Minnesota if he ran for governor. As the paper noted: “Lindell does not need to be registered to vote in Minnesota to run for office here. But his lack of knowledge about his voter registration status is notable for a candidate who has called for strict scrutiny of voter rolls and made election integrity the central pillar of his campaign and political life.”Lindell will face Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth and former healthcare executive Kendall Qualls in the Aug. 11 primary. The Minnesota GOP has criticized Lindell as a candidate and balked at Trump endorsing him earlier this week. The improper data-sharing came to light after more than 20 Democratic states’ attorneys general filed a public motion on Thursday in an ongoing lawsuit challenging CMS’s data-sharing agreement with ICE. “Defendants produced documents confirming that Medicaid data from Plaintiff States had been shared with employees or contractors of Palantir,” the motion reads.U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria in California initially ruled in December that CMS officials could share certain details from Medicaid data about immigrants without lawful status from the states involved in the lawsuit. That data included information such as home addresses, dates of birth and immigration status. However, in May, Chhabria temporarily paused data-sharing between ICE and CMS after it was revealed CMS had shared data with ICE in January that went beyond the scope of what was initially allowed by the courts. ICE was ordered to delete this improperly obtained data, but federal officials in recent days have admitted to further instances of improper data-sharing, according to NPR. Paul Pelosi Charged With Misdemeanor Hit-And-Run In CaliforniaPaul Pelosi, husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been charged with a misdemeanor in connection with a hit-and-run in California, the Napa County District Attorney’s Office announced.Pelosi, 86, is accused of hitting an empty parked car on July 3 and fleeing the scene, the district attorney’s office said in a news release, adding that there was no evidence that he was driving under the influence. He’s expected to appear in court on Aug. 14. “The Napa County District Attorney’s Office does not typically issue press releases regarding misdemeanor hit-and-run cases involving only property damage,” the office wrote in a statement. “However, this release is being issued because of the significant public and media interest surrounding this case.”The July 3 crash is latest in Pelosi’s long history of dangerous driving, including a 2022 DUI charge, to which he pleaded guilty. Canadian lawmakers did not find the president’s offer amusing. RUN, DARLINE, RUN!”Nordone was appointed and sworn in this week to fill the remaining few months of her brother’s seat. Graham had been gearing up for a challenge from Democratic candidate Dr. Annie Andrews in November before his sudden death on Saturday.Trump said he met Nordone in the Oval Office, calling her a “spectacular person” and a “true American Patriot.”In an odd twist, South Carolina law allows any Republican candidate already on the ballot to run for the nomination, too. If a candidate happens to win two races, though, they would have to decline one or the other.Produce Supplier Voluntarily Recalls Lettuce Amid Outbreak, While Denying Link To IllnessesProduce supplier Taylor Farms said it is voluntarily recalling all of its iceberg lettuce sourced from central Mexico, while at the same time denying having any ties to a nationwide outbreak of a diarrhea-causing parasite.“No Taylor Farms branded salads or kits are associated with this outbreak,” the California-based company said in a statement Friday, while suggesting that the decision was made to “restore” confidence.“While the FDA traceback is indicating a specific independent farm, which represents less than 1% of the U.S.’s iceberg lettuce supply, as the potential source of the outbreak, we have removed all iceberg lettuce from the region indefinitely,” the statement continued. The announcement came as The Associated Press reported that a federal official, reportedly briefed on the Food and Drug Administration’s investigation into the outbreak, identified Taylor Farms as the supplier of the lettuce that’s sickened consumers.Memorial Service Plans For Late Sen. It’s unkind and unhelpful. If you support me, please stop,” El-Sayed wrote on X Friday. The call appears to be referring to a clip circulating this week in which Stevens told supporters at a campaign stop that she would bring “a little bit of enthusiasm, a little bit of energy and a little bit of stick-it-to-them,” adding, “Because that’s the Michigan way, right?” Republican commentators and observers have also capitalized on the moment, attacking her appearance and voice, and adding fan edits over the video. The appeal for civility comes as Stevens and El-Sayed, the progressive challenger in the race, duke it out ahead of the Aug. 4 primary.National attention on the race has intensified in recent weeks.
