The island of Kasos in the Dodecanese will host the 17th Panhellenic Conference of Small Islands from October 1 to 4.
It will bring together representatives of local government, the scientific community, institutions and residents of Greece’s small island regions to exchange experiences and promote policies aimed at strengthening their sustainable development.
The conference is being organized with the participation of the Hellenic Small Islands Network, the European Right to Stay program, the Kasos Municipality and the GRECO Islands initiative, highlighting the event’s international and cross-regional character.
According to the program, discussions will focus on key challenges facing small island communities.
Particular emphasis will be placed on partnerships and cooperation between islands, young people’s right to remain and build their future in their home regions, the development of an effective island policy, and the priorities of the European Union’s new program for the 2028-2034 period.
