OTTAWA — Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand said despite an aggressive U.S. pressure campaign, designed to dismantle the institution “brick by brick,” Canada will remain a strong supporter of the International Criminal Court.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio released an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal earlier this week, arguing against the ICC. America has never signed the treaty that created the court, but Rubio said the Trump administration still views it as a threat and will pressure other countries to leave.
