The Anambra State Police Command has commenced a manhunt for a teacher who allegedly flogged a 12-year-old student, leading to his death at Adazi-Ani in Anaocha Local Government Area of the state.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Friday, by the spokesperson for the command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
Ikenga said the search operation was activated through the police’s Safe School Initiative Operations, led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, ACP Harrison Oruruo.
Ikenga said the team was mandated to locate the teacher allegedly involved in the incident and ensure that anyone found culpable faces justice.
