Kenny Chesney notches a record-breaking 62nd top 10 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart (dated July 25) as “Carry On” rises two spots to No. 9. The song increased 8% to 18 million in audience July 10-16, according to Luminate.
The ascent breaks Chesney out of a tie with Tim McGraw and George Strait, each of whom has earned 61 top 10s, dating to the chart’s January 1990 start. Plus, Chesney’s 100th entry on Country Airplay becomes the first top 10 on the chart for the recently launched Hey Now Records.
