The United States struck southern Iran for a sixth consecutive night on Friday as Tehran launched missiles and drones at US-linked sites across the Gulf and neighbouring states. The attacks hit transport, energy and infrastructure. Iranian officials reported that US strikes also hit civilian infrastructure, violating international law.

US Central Command said aircraft, drones and ships struck dozens of targets, including coastal surveillance systems, air defence sites, logistics facilities and maritime assets.

Iranian officials and state media reported attacks on bridges, a railway station, an airport, electricity lines and communications networks.
