The conflict between the United States and Iran intensified further overnight, with both sides exchanging new attacks as hostilities entered a sixth consecutive night. Iranian state media reported that US strikes hit several sites described as civilian infrastructure, while Tehran responded by launching attacks against American military facilities in the Gulf.
According to Iranian reports, US airstrikes targeted bridges in the coastal city of Bandar Khamir along the Strait of Hormuz, killing at least seven people. Iranian media also said Iranshahr Airport and a railway station in Bandar Abbas were struck. Meanwhile, US Central Command stated that its forces had carried out coordinated operations involving fighter aircraft, drones, and naval assets, saying "precision munitions" had struck dozens of military objectives, including coastal surveillance systems, air defense positions, logistics infrastructure, and maritime capabilities.
Iran retaliated by announcing strikes on US military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait. Iranian state television said the attacks were conducted "in response to the crimes of the arrogant enemy and in revenge for the blood of the martyrs of the homeland." Qatar also reported incoming missile attacks early Friday, with its Defense Ministry saying air defenses intercepted the projectiles. Authorities confirmed that one child was injured by falling debris.
