A Zimbabwean woman who allegedly occupied a double-storey house in Cosmo City, locked herself inside the property on Friday after ActionSA members, led by Johannesburg mayoral candidate Herman Mashaba, arrived at the home during an operation targeting alleged hijacked RDP houses.
Mashaba, accompanied by the party's MMC candidate for Human Settlements, Zandile Dabula, was leading an inspection of properties in Cosmo City.
The party alleges the houses have been unlawfully occupied by foreign nationals.
The party visited several RDP houses and other properties that have been converted into rental accommodation.
