The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS) has reported that more than 333 students are expected to secure admissions into MBBS, BDS and other allied medical programmes based on the NEET-2026 results.Of the total 1,137 candidates who appeared from the social welfare gurukuls, three scored more than 500 marks and 70 scored between 400 and 500 marks. The top-scorers were from Chilkur (Boys) facility: Chindam Naga Chaitanya (560), Allam Praneeth (510), and G Srinivas (505).According to officials, post-counselling, over 200 candidates would secure MBBS seats and more than 100 would get BDS seats.Minister for Social Welfare Adluri Lakshman Kumar said the results reflect the State government’s focus on expanding educational opportunities for students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Minorities and other disadvantaged sections.He said that the residential education system has been strengthened through infrastructure development, digital learning facilities, specialised coaching for competitive examinations, academic monitoring and student welfare programmes. These measures have supported students in preparing for national-level entrance examinations.Mr. Laxman Kumar appreciated the efforts of students, parents, principals, vice-principals, lecturers, and the vaious staff for their role in the results. He said the government will continue to improve residential educational institutions by enhancing academic facilities and providing support to students and faculty members.
