MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has granted Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo’s request to hold the city’s highly-urbanized status plebiscite simultaneously with the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on November 2, 2026.
The poll body shared on Friday that the Comelec en banc met on June 26 to act on a June 25 recommendation from Deputy Executive Director for Operations Rafael Olaño.

Robredo wrote to Comelec Chairperson George Erwin Garcia last June 11 for her request on the synchronization of the plebiscite with the BSKE.
