Three men were arrested for the theft and vandalisation of water meters in Heideveld.
Three men are in custody after being arrested for stealing and vandalising water meters in Heideveld, leading to a staggering R500,000 loss and a serious disruption to the community's water supply.
After a month of numerous water meters being stolen within the area, three men believed to be part of a theft syndicate were arrested on Wednesday, July 17, following community tip-offs and witness accounts.
Manenberg police Detective Sergeant Daryl Van Noie, together with the City's Law Enforcement, arrested the men on Lainsberg Road in Heideveld.
The men were found in possession of the vandalised water meters, according to Manenberg police station's spokesman, Captain Ian Bennett.
